Scope

In this privacy policy, users can obtain information about the nature, scope and purpose for which their data is collected and used by the controller and provider. The legal framework for data protection is the Federal Data Protection Act (Bundesdatenschutzgesetz, BDSG) and the Telecommunications Act (Telemediengesetz, TMG).

The use of our website is generally possible without providing personal data. Insofar as personal data (for instance name, address or email address) is collected on our site, this occurs on a voluntary basis wherever possible. This data will not be forwarded to third parties without your explicit permission.

We hereby inform you that data transmission on the internet (e.g. in communication by email) may involve security vulnerabilities. Protection of your data against access by third parties cannot be completely guaranteed.

Use of the contact data published in the Legal Information by third parties in order to send advertisements and informational materials that have not been expressly requested is not permitted. The website operators expressly reserve the right to take legal action against the unrequested sending of advertising information, for instance spam emails.

The following information is collected: Name of the website, file, date, volume of data, web browser version, operating system, domain name of your internet provider, the so-called referrer URL (the page from which you accessed our website) and IP address.

Without this data, it would be technically impossible in some cases to transmit and display the contents of the website. Therefore, the collection of data is required. We also use anonymous information for statistical purposes. This helps us to optimise our website and technology. We reserve the right to subsequently review the log files if we suspect unlawful use of our website.

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we will use the data you provide exclusively for this purpose or to inform you regarding circumstances that are relevant to this service or registration. We will not forward this data to third parties.

To receive the newsletter, we need a valid (current) e-mail address. The IP address you use when subscribing to the newsletter and the date on which you order the newsletter will also be saved. We use this data as proof in case of misuse if third parties register an email address for the newsletter. In order to ensure that third parties do not improperly register an email address for our mailing list, we use the so-called “double opt in” procedure in compliance with the law. During this process, registration for the newsletter, sending of the confirmation email and receipt of subscription confirmation are all recorded.

You can withdraw your consent to the storage of data, your email address and its use for newsletter mailing at any time. We provide you a link in each newsletter and on the website to unsubscribe. You also have the option of communicating your desire to unsubscribe to the contacts named in this document.

Our website includes content and services offered by other providers. These include maps, which are provided by Google Maps, YouTube videos as well as graphics and images from other websites. To access and display this data in the user’s browser, it is necessary to transfer the IP address. The providers (hereinafter referred to as “third-party providers”) will thus learn the IP address of the user in question. Although we endeavour solely to use third-party providers that need the IP address in order to deliver content, we have no influence over whether the IP address is stored. This process can be used for statistical purposes. Insofar as we are aware that the IP address will be stored, we will inform our users.

Google AdWords

This website uses the online advertising programme “Google AdWords”, and in this context, conversion tracking. This means that Google AdWords will set a cookie on your computer if you have accessed our website through a Google ad. These cookies lose their validity after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If the user visits particular pages of the website of an AdWords client and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and the client can see that the user clicked on the ad and was forwarded to this website. Every AdWords client receives a different cookie. As a result, cookies cannot be traced across the websites of AdWords clients.

The information obtained using the conversion cookie serves to generate conversion statistics for AdWords clients that have opted for conversion tracking. AdWords clients learn the total number of users that clicked on their ad and were forwarded to a website containing a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information that could allow users to be personally identified.

If you would not like to participate in this tracking process, you can easily deactivate the Google conversion tracking cookie in the user settings of your internet browser. In this case, you will not be included in the conversion tracking statistics. You can learn more from Google’s privacy policy at http://www.google.de/policies/privacy/

Through the plugin, Facebook will be informed that you visited the page of our website in question.

This also applies for users who are not registered with Facebook. In that case, it is possible that Facebook will save the IP address. If you have a Facebook account and are logged in, your visit to a website with a Facebook plugin can be clearly attributed to your Facebook user account.
